For the information you give us through this website and when you sign up, we decide how it is used and are responsible for it as the controller. For the employee and other data an organization puts into its own Space People workspace, we process it on that organization's behalf and under its instructions: the organization is the controller, and requests about that data should go to it first.

Forms on this website. When you contact us, ask about Enterprise or sign up, we collect what you enter: your name, work email and, if you give one, phone number; your organization's name, size, website and country; your message; and the plan you chose. Each form is sent directly to the Space People platform, which also records the IP address it came from.

Usage data. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read, from information such as the page, the referring site, and your browser and device type. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across other sites. Our servers and Cloudflare also keep standard request logs, which include IP addresses.

Your workspace. When you sign up, we create a workspace for your organization straight away and email you a link to set your password, valid for 72 hours. What your organization then records in it — such as employee records, attendance, leave, payroll and documents — is kept in that workspace's own separate database and storage.

We use the information you share to answer your messages and Enterprise enquiries, to create and run the workspace you signed up for, to send the emails that come with it (such as your set-password link), and to keep Space People secure — IP addresses, for example, are used to limit repeated form submissions and to investigate abuse. We use aggregate usage data to improve the website. We don't sell your personal information, and we don't use it for advertising.

Space People runs on servers provided by Contabo in Germany, in the European Union. Traffic to the website and to the Space People app passes through Cloudflare.

We use these service providers to run Space People, only to the extent needed for that work and never for their own marketing: Contabo (hosting), Cloudflare (content delivery, network protection and website analytics), Yandex and SendGrid (email), Google Fonts (typefaces loaded by the Space People app), and Slack — only if your organization chooses to connect its Slack workspace.

Some of these providers are based outside the European Union, so some of your information may be processed in other countries.

We use industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect the information you share with us. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to continually improve our safeguards.

We keep form submissions, the data in a workspace after its subscription ends, and server logs for up to one calendar year, for auditing — or delete them sooner when a customer explicitly asks us to.

Depending on where you're located, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. A request to delete an organization's workspace must come from the email address of that organization's owner. We respond within 30 business days.

This website sets no cookies, and Cloudflare Web Analytics works without them. The Space People app keeps you signed in using your browser's local storage, and uses a cookie only to remember how you've arranged your dashboard.

We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.
